Gold Champagne

Gold is the result of one or two champagne genes acting upon a
different red (sorrel or chestnut) horse. Depending on which other genes are
present, this can have several different results. Gold Champagne Horses
usually have a Flaxen mane and tail and sometimes they are born the same
beautiful-golden sorrel color all over.
The usual way the Champagne gene affects a red (sorrel or chestnut) based
horse is to create a golden body color with a flaxen, or near-white, mane
and tail.
